My Policies Please Read

Let me start by saying I'm not a business man, I'm an animal lover who is happy to care for peoples pets when they are unable to.  How difficult can it be to do what I do without a college course in Business Management.  Apparently more than I know since numerous times I have been taken advantage of by me trusting people.

With that being said, if you book with me for 3 days or less, I will ask for the payment up front and it is non-refundable. I do this because I limit how many pets I care for at one time,  if you cancel you have either taken away my ability to try to fill that slot or I've already turned other people down for your same spot and they found someone else to care for their pets.

If book with me it is a guarantee that we will be able to accommodate your pet or pets and I require half of the pets stay as that guarantee, that also is non-refundable. The same logic applies, I can very well lose business due to my inability to backfill that spot.

I also do require payment in full, so this means that when you drop your pet or pets off to me payment is required.

I do take just about any form of payment including PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, Skrill, etc...of course cash is always king, but I will also take checks.

If you do not pick your pet up on the scheduled date and we do not discuss when you will be picking it up, I am giving you 3 days to claim your pet otherwise I will take it to Midlands Humane Society or what organization I can find that can accommodate your pet. I will try my best to find a no-kill shelter but it is not my responsibility to care for your pet for it's entire life.

Another problem that has occurred a few times and that is dogs, cats, parrots, llama's, etc.. I'm caring for have taken it upon themselves to customize my furniture, clothes, shoes, etc.. I found out the hard way that business pet insurance does not pay for damage done to your property if it's done by one of the pets under your care. I will always ask you before taking responsibility for your pet if it has any habits like chewing the metal wheel off of my desk chair, using my doorways for scratching posts, finding that of all the toys I make available for your pets to play with, they find my sneakers much more to their liking. If they destroy it, you replace it.

Just remember even if I forget to ask you about their habits, If you agree to have me caring for your pet you should understand that if your pet causes damage to my home, property or myself or any pet that I may be caring for at the same time as yours,  you will be responsible for said damages.  There are no exclusions, there's no gray area, if your pet causes damage you are financially responsible for those damages.  If your pet harms another dog even if they are just playing, you will pay the vet bill. This has never happened but if I was negligent or preoccupied and something happens then I will pay the bill. Like I said that has never happened because I am very watchful when it comes to caring for your pet.

I do not and will not care for dangerous or unruly dogs. I won't care for dogs that bark constantly, this includes excessive whining.  I expect whining the first 24 hours or so until the pet becomes more acclimated to their surrounds but I can't allow it for 5 days straight if that's how long your booking is.  I will ask you before I book  you if your pet is friendly towards other animals and if they are house broken/trained.  If you say yes, I will believe you. I understand accidents now and then but if it's a constant issue and it's happening during the course of your booking, you understand that I will no longer care for that pet.

I give the dogs a couple of days to become adjusted to a new and potentially first place they've been outside of their own home or not often, but when I've given them a couple of days and they act in the same manner then all bets are off.  If your pets constantly have 'accident's', barks when a car drives  by, just doesn't behave anything like  you have previously told me, I will no longer care for that pet/pets and the rest of the money you paid me after you dropped the pet/pets off to me is not refundable.  If  you can't be honest with me then I don't want or need your business.

If you decide to book with me great, I promise that I will do everything I can and usually much more to make your pets stay the most pleasant they can ask for.  I will provide the best care that your pet will ever experience and I want the same experience.  If you want to bring a kennel, in certain situations I'm okay with it but personally I don't do kennels, many times those are used when owners can't control their pet.  If you have a kennel  and want your pet in the kennel most of their stay, call someone else. If you need the kennel because you can't control your pet, get him training and I do not train dogs.

I know I may lose customers because of these policies, but the ones that know me and know how I treat their pets and how their pets react to me when they see me, know the and the service I provide and the value that I provide and that is nothing but pure love and the dogs know it.
